One Better |
So, you think that you are having some crazy dreams? I had a dream the other night that I was still living with my Mom (whom I hate because she is a waste of human DNA) and my siblings were all still young, but I was an adult. I was holding my sister on my hip and I noticed that her pupils were starting to bleed into the iris of her eye. So, I informed my whore of a mother that there was something wrong with my sister and when I looked back at the little girl of three years old, her eyes were actually bleeding...like blood dripping from her eyes. So, I am freaking out, looking for something to stop the blood from dripping everywhere, while yelling at my mom to get her shit together so we can take my sister to the hospital. Then I put my sister on the couch and go back to check on my mom's progress and the wench is just standing there eating something and telling me that she will be ready in a minute. I then go back to check on my sister and she is now my brother at about the age of six or so. I am trying to comfort him because he is upset that this is happening to him. I am telling him that he is gonna be okay and that I will take care of him. I walk off to do something and when I come back (this is the most graphic thing I have ever seen in a dream) my brother is sitting on the couch, indian style, with his head down, crying softly. I get closer to him and notice that there is something hanging out of his face, more specifically, his eye. His eyes are closed, but there are tears of blood and this thing hanging out of his eye that I soon recognize to be his optic nerve....hanging there.
I then wake up from this, the most graphic and horrifying dream I have ever had in my life. I am breathing heavy and I sit up in bed all wide eyed. I sit there not knowing where in the hell this is all coming from. I felt really scared and disturbed by the capacity of my imagination. I woke my boyfriend up and he asked me to explain the dream and as I am explaining the mind fuck I just start crying uncontrollably. The weird thing is that just as sudden as the crying started, it stopped...and then I felt nothing.
The significance to me being upset with my mom through the whole dream is that she was always like that, she always came first. We were always second to her needs. I still have yet to get over that aspect of my childhood and I apparently still feel the need to protect my brothers and sisters from her and the harm she causes. I may explain what I went through as a child in a future podcast so everyone can fully understand where all this hatred for my mom comes from, but for now I am just trying to one up Dave's weird ass dream.

Fix The Economy? |
This is from an article in the St. Petersburg Times Newspaper on Sunday.
The Business Section asked readers for ideas on
"How Would You Fix the Economy?"
I think this guy nailed it!
Dear Mr. President:
Please find below my suggestion for fixing America's economy.
Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan.
You can call it the Patriotic Retirement Plan:
There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force.
Pay them $1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:
1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.
2) They MUST buy a new American CAR. Forty million cars ordered - Auto Industry fixed.
3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - Housing Crisis fixed.
It can't get any easier than that!
If more money is needed, have all members of Congress and their constituents pay their taxes...

Cherry Pie Farts |
Ahhh how do I begin this... well... back in 2004 I had a blog.. no podcast but just a blog... it was tiltled "Personal Journey's"
So early this morning I am looking at files on my old hard drive.. sure enough all of my old blog posts are there... even a few I wish weren't. Here's an example:

Cherry Pie Farts
So I'm standing in the kitchen today and I'm wearing just my boxer shorts... the Homer Simpson ones my daughter gave me at Christmas. Anyway, I'm holding this Cherry Pie tin in my hand and I'm eating out of it. The pie was great, I couldn't put it down.
That's when it happened... I let this huge nasty fart blast from my ass... you know the kind, your ass gets all tight and then BANG! the entire fart blows itself from your sphincter all at once... it hurts a little and then your ass stays warm for about 6 or 7 minutes after...
It was awful... the dogs spun their heads around when they heard it.. and then you know how they do that thing with their noses.. they tip their heads up slightly and flare their nostrils... oh man... you know its bad when the dogs take an interest. So here I am eating my cherry pie and my intestinal gas is wafting up around me. It overwhelmed the cherry pie aroma fairly quickly, then I was inhaling my fart as I chewed a mouth full of cherry pie.
Now here's the paradox about all of this -- 2 separate senses (smell and taste), both working in unison to give me a mixture of this sweet and sour moment. On the one hand the cherry pie was the best I have ever had and I was savoring each bite.... on the other hand my nostrils were being stripped away from the inside out at a molecular level by the noxious toxic waste I had expelled into my environment.
I stood there for a moment, you know the moment I mean, it's that nanosecond that time stops when you notice the smell of a fart... if you're around a group of people when it hits you then you instantly try to figure out who the nasty fucker was that had the balls to let it slip out. But when your alone you usually check to see how bad it is... you know what I mean.. you take a whiff and if it's really bad you make a face and wonder how the fuck you did that. If it's not too bad you sometimes try again.. maybe that was just a warm up...
Anyway, that nanosecond passed and since I already knew I couldn't top that wretched gaseous entity, I did what I had to do next... I took a deep breath through my nose as the cherry pie dissolved on my tongue... I closed my eyes and held the moment. The sweetness on my tongue, the foul stench in my sinuses, and that warm moist feeling in my ass... all of these things came together and as I basked in my own sickness the dogs approached sniffing the air and wanting to join my little party.

WoWing it up! |
 In the studio with Annie, we are playing World of Warcrack and discussing the upcoming podkast. Mood is everything when recording the kast. Annie and I haven't been syncing like we normally do during the last couple of days, she is ready to go and I'm not then the next day it's the other way around. We don't wana just throw together anything and put it out there for you, we need to be in the right frame of mind when we record. We have been gone so long that we wana make sure this one is a killer kast. Lot's of stuff has been happening and there is plenty of content to discuss, we just need to get our heads wrapped around it all before we dive in. Update |
 Hello All-
I know you are all wondering what the hell happened to your favorite outKasts. Well, we both have been tangled in a web of WoW and life drama. These things have taken their turn and now we are thinking on the Kastaside plane again. We are excited to be working on some new stuff for your listening pleasure. This kast will be a catch up on what has been and what is going on with us. Then, we will be making the plunge into the world of things exotic and unconventional. KAST #3 In Final Stages... |
Well, Annie & I finished our recording session Tuesday night with our featured guests. I will not go into any details here but I have updated the Preview... We are excited about this episode and are furiously trying to have it out by the end of the week. It's about an hour and a half of content but it's in the final stages of editing and then we are done!

Halloween Podkast |
 So...I got this great idea from our listener Randy, that we should do a Halloween podkast. What do I think about that? I think that is a fucking fantastic idea!!! I already have tons of ideas swirling around in my brain. We will be putting out a podcast right before Halloween covering topics like Zombies, Vampires and our favorite horror movies. KASTASIDE Coming To blogtalkradio? |
We are looking into blogtalkradio as a new platform for our show. I personally like the idea, but at the same time I am more used to doing a regular podkast in which I take time after recording to make sure everything is in order and handle all of the back office items as well as production of Kastaside.
Doing a LIVE broadcast would be fun however and has many other incentives as well.. listeners can call into the show and join in our discussions which could be priceless!
At this time there are 2 possibilities:
1) Migrate the podkast totally to blogtalkradio and use that as our platform
2) Kontinue with our regular podkast and do "Special Live Broadcasts" from time to time on blogtalkradio

Annie And The Birthday Hat |
Hello All-
So, I know we haven't done anything in awhile and that is mostly my fault. I have had a lot going on in my life and I haven't had much time to to contribute to Kastaside. This is my first blog posting and I plan to keep this going on a regular basis.
As you can obviously see it was my birthday recently and this is the picture that they corner you into taking on your birthday at Home Depot (especially if you are lame and work on your birthday). I have a whole issue that happened around my birthday that I am going to be explaining on the the upcoming podcast Kastaside #2. Life has been feeding me some really interesting hurdles lately and I am trying to overcome them.
We are planning on putting out a new Kastaside episode in the within the next week or so and after that we are going to try to keep them coming on a more regular basis. So, don't give up on us because we are gonna make this thing happen.
